As much as I loved looking at those icy winter pictures from last week, it's time to warm things up here on fav. A friend of mine has been in Cancun this past week and boy have my email exchanges with her made me long for sand between my toes and sunshine on my face. The sun did finally come out today, gracefully donning enough light for me to photograph the first of my pineapple harvest. I promised I'd make some more of this yummy eye-fruit and offer these pincushions to you lovely seamstresses and collectors out there so here's a sneak peek of what's to come...
but where to put them for sale? I ponder.
This pretty fruit ^ is named Calypso.
Two Heather Bailey prints, wool felt leaves, and a touch (or two..or three) of patina hand-stitching...loooooooooooooove it!
Here ^ is Flirty Girl. She is dedicated to my sweet, sunshine ray of a friend Patty Young.
Made with Patty's birdie damask in her fire color-way, wool felt leaves, and loads of vibrant spring green stitching.
She will brighten any sewing studio year round.
Okay, so here is where I need your help. I go back and forth on where to stock these goodies. Should I do etsy, should I do e-bay (ughhhhhhhhhh I don't think so...the fees and all) hmmmmmm....should I sell right here from the blog? Are you interested in the pattern? I'm thinking in the near future that can be arranged...so, what do you think? I have more...
Thanks for stopping by to warm up with me.
Off to celebrate Brad's big day--he's 11 now---pictures to follow...
Ps. I've pondered all day now and listened to your advice. Thanks for the emails and words of encouragement. You can find my pineapples here
