Cupcakes and Haircuts
I was recently asked by another designer to join in on an e-bay launch celebrating the 2nd anniversary of the design group Ivylane. What an amazing group of talented women. Each guest was asked to design something with the idea in mind of "bringing something to the party." Chloe and I put our heads together and we decided cupcakes were the way to go. Click on the logo below to find this sweet set on e-bay.
A little cupcake set seems the perfect match for a sweetly sassy, new haircut. Last week, Chloe's brothers helped talk her into braving the chair at the salon. When the stylist first cut off the ponytail in the back, she had a look of silent horror on her face for a few seconds but within minutes, she was the happiest little cupcake imaginable. We ended up cutting just over 9 inches off-wow! As we were leaving the salon, Chloe said, "My hair is GOURTIFUL" (her name for something that is both gorgeous and beautiful) and continued, "Mom--I hope it doesn't grow back tonight while I am sleeping!" She later confessed that she was a little scared when the ponytail first hit the floor because with freckles and stringy, uneven hair hanging around her chin, she was afraid she was going to look "like a boy from the olden days!" What a scream she is-always makes me laugh! In the end, everyone is happy with Chloe's new look. Here's the before and after.
Tell me what you think of the new "do" or the design by posting a comment and one of you will win a free CUPCAKE surprise made by me. Have a sweetly frosted day.

HOW TOTALLY DELICIOUS EVA!!!!!

Your daughter's hair is ADORABLE! My daughter has hair to her bum, and my husband keeps trying to get me to take her to the salon, but I am so nervous. But after seeing your daughter, I think we may take the plunge.
The outfit is so cute too, by the way!

Awwww... LOVE IT ALL, Miss Eva! The set is amazing as always. Chloe's new haircut is POSH! WOOHOO! My Sophie wants to get her hair cut too but I am the one who is hesitant... maybe I just don't want her to look too grown up or something. Me being silly again.... but your posting might have just given me the extra push I needed. :)

Sooo totally cute!! The adorable set AND the gourtiful miss Chloe! We just got 10 inches cut off of Liv's locks a couple weeks ago and she loves it too!! But I swear, it ages them overnight. *sniff*
I hope everything is going well....we need to talk so I can get an update.
Lots of kisses and hugs~

Oh I love it. It's very sweet (like a cupcake)! My daughter had hair down to her bottom. A few weeks ago I was just going to give her a 'trim'. Well, I trimmed a little too much (seriously it was accidental). I thought my hubby would be so upset, but he wasn't. (MIL was though) But it really suits her personality. It's as spunky as she is!

What a sweet post! Her hair is so cute. Lily has been talking about getting hers cut, but then she chickens out. It's really me who would have a hard time with it. Those long locks are pretty, but hard to manage.
Chloe sounds like a funny girl:) And the cupcake outfit is TDF!

What a cute design and haircut, our Gabbie had her long hair cut into that same style last year and we are loving it! :) She was "iffy" at first but we donated her hair to locks of love and that made her feel very proud, and after the fact, she loved her new DO! :) cute, cute, cute!! :)

What a cute cut. Reminded me of when we cut my Sammies hair. I think it was harder for me than her (she has the hair I always wanted), but the short cut fits her personality so much better. :0)

What a *big* girl she is!! Did she donate her hair to locks of love?? As always your outfits are *gourtiful* ;) What a lucky girl she is to get all these homemade outfits. Not quite like the *homemade* we used to get back in the day haha!
Perfect birthday outfit!
Thanks for all the great emails.
