...drumroll please

Winnercollage_7

WOW!!! Thanks for all of your comments. I especially loved Nic trying to get her name "put into the pot" 3 times by posting 3 different comments. Too fun! Well, this morning I found myself ALL ALONE for the first time in 13 years (Chloe just started Kindergarten) so I headed out to relax on my back porch and do the drawing for a free FAV 2 piece set in Dewberry fabrics. Amy, who posted comment #7 is my winner today. Congrats girl-I hope you will love your set ;)

Okay, so back to my being alone this AM...wow...can I say hmmmmmmmmmmmm...how do I say this.... FREEEEEEDOM! I mean, I do love being a mother just as much as the next "running for mother-of-the-year" kind of woman but I also have to say I am amazed at what I can get done without 3 kids hanging on me all day. I should have went out shopping or gotten a pedicure, but instead I gleefully did some pre-fall "Spring Cleaning"-LOL! I took apart 4 windows and cleared out a few spiders that decided home for them was in the webs they'd spun between my living room windows and their screens. I guess I should partially give our winner Amy (and all of you) a bit of credit for my morning bliss. After all, I was on my way back into the house after doing the big drawing that I spied the little buggers and thought to myself....ahhhhh I am alone and I can do this STAT! And, I got 'er done in record time too so I may be able to work this being alone thing out (ironically, Chloe is listening to "Work This out" from High School Musical 2 right this very second-nope not alone now).

Okay...fine... since you are all my friends, I can't lie to you. I did cry a boatload of blubbering tears before Chloe started school on Tuesday and again today when she rode the bus for the first time EVER. I absolutely love the story this picture tells...Changinghands notice Chloe holding daddy's hand with a look of wonder in her eyes as she peers toward the teacher's hand reaching back to her.
If that doesn't just  me cry all kinds of tears...I'm not sure what would.

I was trying to hold them back when Rob snapped this shotChloemom of me and my baby
girl just before she headed in for her first day. She's loved school so far and insisted that she is a big enough girl to ride the bus with her older brother Brad. I still have some misgivings about her being a bus-rider but we tried it out this morning and things went just fine. And, after all, I did have an extra 30 minutes to clean windows and spider webs off of the screens....right?!! No carpool lines for me today. Brad loves being the older, mighty & protective big brother. He walked her to the bus, giving advice in a sort-of "I know how things are Chloe" kind of way. It was very sweet.

Sorry to ramble on for so long (if you are even still reading that is-heehee). We kind of had a big week with lots to share.

Take a peek at

"Cocoa Ice"

is you get a chance. It will be my last design in Dewberry prints for awhile (except Amy's winning set that is.) Have fun-thanks for sharing time with me!

Thank You Mr. Dewberry...now come win some FAV!

As some of you may know, I love fabric! It's more than a love really... it's more like a sickening love affair, fascination, and obsession all rolled into one. A few months ago, I had the visual pleasure of having my eyes fall onto the fabric collections of Westminster Fibers newcomer Joel Dewberry. From the graphic designs to the color schemes to Joel's tagline eclectic modern~~I was instantly hooked.

Fast forward a few months to today... Uploadskirtset_3 I am so proud to share that some of my designs have just been added to the FRESH IDEAS section of Joel's website. The timing of this sweet moment comes exactly one week before the launch of INDELIBLE, wherein I have helped to lead 51 e-bay designers gather in an amazing tribute to these fantastic new fabric collections. To celebrate such a fun moment for me with all of you, I've decided to do a drawing for a 2 piece
skirt and peasant top set up to size 6 made from any 3 Dewberry fabrics. Leave a comment to this post and you will be entered in the drawing. Thanks for being such supportive friends... now let's hear you chat :)
Lots of love,
Eva

P.s. Be sure to check out Indelible next week:Launchad1

Exciting Things Are Brewing...

I don't know if it's because
my kids start school in 13 days
or because I will blink my eyes and it will be September
or because I just listed my first
Halloween 2007 design on e-bay today

but it just feels like that time of year just before big things start brewing
and before you know it, we are in the throws of
fall and holidays and all of the
scrumptious sights, smells, and sounds that come along with it.
As a farewell tribute to Summer '07,
I thought I'd share a few pictures of what made this summer memorable.
I officially became the mother-of-a-teenager a few weeks ago.

Sean is 13 now and has visions of
electric guitars (rather than sugar plums)
dancing in his head.
I'm noticing him taking longer in the bathroom mirror doing his hair
and FLOSSING HIS TEETH, of all things.
I guess puberty brings with it
a few good things after all :)
I am proud to be the mom of such a good boy-he keeps me
on my toes and helps me a lot.

We spent countless hours at the pool this summer

and the kids even rescued an injured gosling from a lake next to the pool~~
only to turn around about 3 weeks later to rescue this sweet turtle from the middle of the road.

Chloe felt like she was one of the Wonder Pets -so sweet!
They felt very proud when they took "Spot" the gosling to the water fowl rescue haven and set "Bob" the turtle free in a pond by our house.

What little animal rescuers they are!

Well, by my next blog-post, I should have gone school clothes shopping for the kids
and will be in the throws of  "Indelible," a 51 designer launch in honor of fabric designer Joel Dewberry.

Be sure to check back on August 23rd to see this fabulous collaboration I have been working on.

I hope your summer has been as sweet as mine...and here's to new things brewing in the pot.
